Open in 1962 this gallery is dedicated to the life and work of Stanley Spencer. Throughout the gallery you will see many interesting pieces including letters written by Spencer to his friend during the First World War, a series of files of press cuttings throughout Spencer’s lifetime and paintings by the artist himself. The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre
Aimed at children 6-12 year olds and features galleries and a story centre and is situated in the village where Roald Dahl lived and wrote. There are two galleries, where you’ll discover the inspiration behind some of your favourite and most cherished stories. There is also a crafts room to get messy in amongst other fascinating features.
Overlooking the River Thames, Cliveden is a wonderful place to visit. With magnificent topiary, lawns with box hedges and water gardens, there are 375 acres of garden and woodland to be enjoyed by all visitors. Lose yourself in the Cliveden Maze, made up of over 1,000 two metre high yew trees and 500 metres of path.
River and Rowing Museum
This wonderful museum is located alongside the River Thames and displays over 20,000 items telling the history of rowing, Henley on Thames and the story of the River Thames. Chiltern Open Air Museum
